Childhood is a time of discovery and joy, but also one of courage and fearlessness. In this series, photographing my children and their friends, I pursue an ongoing exploration into those dualities. When we are young our feelings are so raw and elemental, experiencing them as we do for the first time,. Whether they are braving uncharted waters or dancing and feeling completely in their body, it is a time of intense sensory exploration.
Through observation of their experience of the natural world, as they confront an ever shifting environment, I am able to reconnect and feel renewed by my own relationship to nature. Rekindling my own wonderment and connection to another time.
