Deer Isle Retreat
Join us on the quiet shores of Deer Isle, Maine, for this intimate retreat that invites you to slow down and see with fresh eyes.
From Oct 22 - 26, guided by fine art photographer Sal Taylor Kydd, you’ll spend your days exploring harbors, woodlands, and tidal coves—capturing the subtle textures, shifting light, and quiet beauty that define this place.
Alongside daily shoots, reflective journaling will help deepen your creative voice and sharpen your vision. The experience includes group critiques, individual guidance, and shared nourishing lunches and dinners, with evenings gathered at the historic Ark on Deer Isle for conversation, connection, and inspiration.
A week to look closely, work deeply, and return home creatively renewed.
Accommodation booked separately through The Ark on Deer Isle.
Workshop price includes all meals.
All levels are welcome, though a basic understanding of your camera is recommended.
Spaces are limited to 10 participants to ensure an intimate, high-touch experience.
Deer Isle is accessible by car via a bridge and a causeway.
