This work explores the fleeting nature of childhood. We try and protect our children, try and hold on to the moments we see before us, whilst watching them disappear before our eyes. That tenuous thread that ties us to our history and to our sense of who we are is something I like to play with and explore in my work. It is both a joy and a terror to watch that transformation. This work is presented in a limited edition book of poetry and photographs entitled “Just When I thought I Had You” which continues in the poem of the same name “…you were gone”.
