Hardcover, drum-leaf binding
Limited Edition of 15
signed and numbered
8 pp, 8 x 8

This hand-made artist book in a drum-leaf binding tells the story, through a single poem, of a missed connection and how we can still feel unknown by those considered close to us.

The poem by Taylor Kydd is broken up throughout the book and the stilted structure of the verse speaks to the awkward nature of the phone call it describes.  This simplicity and spareness in the book’s presentation  likewise match the unyielding tone of the poem.

The  book was bound by Taylor Kydd and featuries her poem and original duotone prints. It was set in letterpress and printed by the artist on a Vandercook Press in Rockport Maine. It is presented in an elegant hand-made custom clam-shell box by Richard Smith of Camden Maine.

I'm glad you called.
That we talked in bright and sunlit tones
- Sal Taylor Kydd
