TEACHING

I love to teach and am excited about a couple of workshops that I have coming up.

This course is designed to broaden the visual interests of each photographer, through investigation and exploration of the major genres of the photographic medium.  Through morning critiques and afternoon field work we will work to develop your unique way of seeing through the camera using photographic cues and assignments. TEXT & IMAGE - MAKING YOUR LETTERPRESS BOOK
MAR 22 - 28 2020

In this hands-on practical workshop, you will learn how to combine text and image to create a beautiful hand-bound letterpress piece. Every day will include discussions of your work and hands on book binding and letterpress tutorials. This is a class for artists who are keen to learn letterpress and how to put their words and images into the book form. No prior book binding or letterpress experience is required. Experience with Adobe Indesign is helpful but not essential.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND MENTORSHIP

Getting out and making the work is the first essential part of being an artist, but it can be hard to find the time and the motivation to commit to a daily practice and stay on task. With this in mind I am offering a mentorship program, through weekly phone calls and sharing work online, I can help you reignite your creative spark and develop a new series, or work on editing an existing body of work.

The other step in this journey lies around getting your work exposure and managing your online presence. Before I became an artist I worked for many years in web development and product marketing, and I am now helping other artists manage their online presence so it speaks to their artistic vision and aesthetic.

How I can help:

  • portfolio development

  • crafting your vision - artist and project statements

  • portfolio review preparation

  • business cards/postcards - exhibition materials

  • social media strategies

  • website development

    • web hosting

    • copy writing

    • mailchimp integration

    • blog best practices
